A preliminary start-up package by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups

Sang-Yeon Cho, Medical School of CNU, was selected in the Preliminary Startup Package of the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise(SMEs) and Startups, a program to foster prospective entrepreneurs with innovative technology start-up items.

He receives support for business start-up education and mentoring for start-up commercialization along with 45 million KRW for start-up and his start-up item is “AI algorithm and multi-database based medical research therapy development solution” 

Meanwhile, Sang-Yeon Cho has been conducting multi-center and international cooperative research in Korea by running the Team-Based Innovative & Creative Open Medical Research Laboratory (CHOLAB, nprc26.wixsite.com/cholab) for several years.

Currently, He is conducting multi-omics research on various cancer types using deep learning and bioinformatics analysis methods and is working to develop treatments for diseases with medical unmet needs using health insurance data and drug databases.
